Veterinarian
Dr. Yocum opened Green Tree Veterinary Services and The Centre for Regenerative Medicine in 2010 and he opened Green Tree Animal Hospital in 2012.
Dr. Yocum is also a consultant for Medivet America, a leading stem cell technology company. In addition to his interest in regenerative medicine, Dr. Yocum is working toward certification in pain management.
The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners certified Dr. Yocum in 1996. He was president of the Kentucky Association of Equine Practitioners and was the equine program director for the Kentucky Veterinary Medicine Association (KVMA) in 1997.
Dr. Yocum recently presented at the Mid-America veterinary conference on advanced equine reproductive technology. He has also presented papers at Sydney University; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Santiago, Chile, and Hong Kong on regenerative medicine.
He has served on several committees and the Equine Welfare Committee of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Dr. Yocum also served as a board member of The Thoroughbred Club in Lexington, KY.
Veterinarian
Dr. Stucky is a Lexington native who joined the Green Tree Animal Hospital team in 2024. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Animal Science from Berry College and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, also graduating in 2024.
With a diverse background in veterinary medicine, Dr. Stucky has a strong interest in expanding the practice at Green Tree to include equine services, farm animal care, and exotic animal treatment. His goal is to create a comprehensive veterinary facility that caters to a wide variety of animals, ensuring that every pet and farm animal receives the best possible care.
Dr. Stucky resides in Nicholasville with his wife and lively assortment of pets, which includes a dog, two cats, two horses, two goats, nine chickens, three guineas, and a gecko with more animals likely to come. HIs passion for animal care extends beyond his professional life, as he enjoys sharing his home with a diverse array of animals.
Dr. Stucky is excited to be a part of the Green Tree Animal Hospital family and looks forward to contributing to the health and well-being of animals in the Lexington community.
Michele McDaniel is our customer service representative. Michele comes to Green Tree Animal with 14 years of experience in the veterinary field and seven years in education. She is a graduate of Lafayette High School, Northside Vocational, and some classes through Phoenix University.
When not working, Michele enjoys her miniature dachshunds and her 3 gorgeous parrots. She has dedicated the last 16 years of her life to this breed and continues to carry on the betterment of their lines and breeding.
She enjoys her time with family, her husband, and her son. Born and raised in Lexington, Michele is truly dedicated to her position and is a true advocate to animals of all species.
Vet Technician
Alyssa is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and spending time with her family. She is the proud cat mom to Freya, who loves being an only child. Alyssa is excited to continue her journey as a technician at Green Tree Animal Hospital!
Maija moved from Wisconsin to Lexington in 2017. She started by getting a degree in Equine Studies and worked as an exercise rider at Keeneland here in Lexington for 3 years. Her love and passion for animals has led her to her next chapter here at Green Tree Animal Hospital after getting her second degree to become a veterinary technician.
When she is not applying her passion and knowledge at work, she enjoys being the best pet mom to her dog Brogan, her two cats Meeko and Percy, as well as her horse Jewels. She also dabbles in amateur photography and enjoys relaxing with family and friends!
Maija plans to keep furthering her career with continued education and adding specialties and certifications to her repertoire.
DVM MS MBA
Dr Pantaleon is a veterinarian graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a Diplomate from the American College Veterinary Internal Medicine, holds a Master’s from Virginia Tech University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
He is the founder of DVM One Health and works with companies and individuals in implementing strategies to improve animal health by focusing on antibiotic use, infection prevention, One Health and value based veterinary care concepts in different sectors of animal health.
Dr Pantaleon also practices small animal general medicine at a busy corporate practice in Kentucky and does relief veterinary work. He is involved in different committees, councils and Boards working to improve the health of pets and livestock.
He enjoys researching, advising, teaching, speaking and writing about infection prevention, value based care, antibiotic resistance and One Health. He lives in Kentucky with his wife, twin daughters and Shamwari, their Rhodesian ridgeback.
